Lets get start by generate CSR on Windows 7
Open IIS manager and click ‘Server certificates‘ icon.
Click ‘create certificate request‘ link under actions.
Enter all required information and click next.
Choose ‘Microsoft RSA SChannel Cryptographic Provide’ and Bit Lenght ‘2048’
Specify file name, I use the same name as ‘common name’ to easy remember and allocate.
Find the file
Open start -> search
type name of certificate (ssl.iiaji.net) and from the result click right click of your mouse to see the properties and pay attention to Folder path.
Open the file using editor like notepad or wordpad.
You have CSR file that will be useful for create SSL certificate.
CSR file always have content beginning with :
—— BEGIN NEW CERTIFICATE REQUEST ————–
—— END NEW CERTIFICATE REQUEST —————–
Save this file to secure place. I’ll continue with next step for generate the key.
See you and stay health!
