My friends bought new netbook ( Acer Aspire One ) and came to me with question .
How do I configure startup programs in windows 7?
Yes, first thing I want to learn when I switch from Windows XP ( I don’t use Windows Vista due to bad review ) to Windows 7 is change startup programs. I have bad experience ( my fault actually) for take slow down of my Windows XP because I have bad computer till I know I have so many program run in startup phase.
Windows 7 Startup
To access Windows 7 startup click Start (Windows Logo on left down side) and click All Programs.
Scroll then find out Startup
Looks like only one program reside on StartUp, right click on the folder and choose Open All Users.
Same, I have only program too.
Ahh, Acer Video Convention Manager.
Disable Program for StartUp
I want to disable Yahoo Messenger from StartUp
Here the steps for disable Yahoo Messenger and others program to StartUp.
Click Start -> Type msconfig
Click Startup tab.
Scroll down and find “yahoo messenger” from the list, uncheck the option and click OK.
You’ll see Warning message, ask you to restart computer or no. If you want immediate effect you can choose exit without restart.
Done. Almost same as Windows XP way but others might afraid to play around as I do 🙂
I hope you also able to set internet connection on Windows 7 and enjoy surfing the internet. See you.
